Totah Theater Owner/Manager Greg Churchill is the new proud father of (another) bouncing baby boy! Have you checked out some of the great shows and events we have lined up for this Summer? Audiences are raving about the DEAD COMPOSER'S SOCIETY concerts headed up by Tennille Taylor. Theater Ensemble Arts (TEA) will present several shows - including a matinee - of a fun melodrama, Curse of the Coffin Nails or Perils of a Puffer. These great shows are complimented by many regular performances of local, regional, and national bands. Be sure to check the calendar for what's coming up, and to also see when you can book the venue for your next reception, conference or training session. 3.12.08 Press Release on Upcoming Events at The Totah TheaterClick this link to see our most recent press release on upcoming events at the Totah. 3.11.08 Business Education Through the ArtsBusiness Education Through the Arts (BETTA Inc.), a non-profit organization, is forming and will call The Totah home. They will be using The Totah as a training ground for students interested in learning how to manage and operate a functioning performance hall. Students will learn accounting, marketing, technical theatre, concessions, management and much more. In doing this, BETTA Inc. hopes to strengthen Farmington’s workforce by providing trained employees to local companies. 2.23.08 Nationally Recognized Bands Booked for Appearances @ the TotahA great lineup of nationally recognized music groups are scheduled through March and April for performances at the Totah. As the Totah's reputation spreads, more and more well-known groups want to grace the stage of this warm, historic venue. National Product will appear with Lorene Drive, Juan Prophet Organization will be here too, and Christopher Anton of Pseudocipher and Information Society will fire-up April. Mankind is Obsolete will share the stage will Anadies later that month. Read more about these concerts on the events page. 2.22.08 Podcast RolloutTotah Theater general Manager Greg Churchill produced the first (in what hopes to be a weekly series) podcast announcing upcoming events. The podcast will be configured soon for subscription through iTunes. Listen to the podcast by going to the podcast link, and check back every week for the most recent version. 2.18.08 Article on Downtown FarmingtonFarmington Daily Times reporter Dorothy Nobis wrote an insightful article about "Bringing back our downtown areas." 2.16.2008 Write up on Travis LeDoyt ConcertFarmington Daily Times reporter Alysa Landry describes the two Travis LeDoyt concerts at the Totah Theater. 2.15.08 LeDoyt and Pickering Shows Entertain Capacity CrowdsAudiences cheered, laughed and swooned at the Travis LeDoyt concerts Wednesday night. Kari Ann Williams said, "The show was really great. Elvis [Mr. LeDoyt] was incredibly talented and he sure could play the piano." Sheldon Pickering was also back by popular demand at the Totah this week. Greg gave much of the history behind the renovation of the Totah Theater as well as where the theater is going in the future.
